NJ solar tax credits & incentives

When you install solar in New Jersey, you may qualify for these cost savings:

Federal tax credit for 30% of the cost. You’ll get this credit if you buy your system or get a loan (not lease). This credit is available through 2032.
Renewable energy credits you can sell through the Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI) Program, also known as SREC-II or ADI.
NJ property tax exemption. Solar panels can raise your property value and taxes. This 100% exemption of added property value prevents you from paying higher taxes because of your solar system.
Sales tax exemption covers 100% of NJ sales tax on your solar system.
